And the year draws to a close….
MAXX has ended the year in style, winning an award for “Brilliance in Customer Service! We were also shortlisted for The Drum’s Marketing Agency of the Year 0-50 which is a pretty cool nomination.
It’s fair to say we were chuffed to bits, but actually thinking about it, I’m not surprised. We have a fantastic team of people who work really hard to deliver the best we can to our clients and over the years, many clients have become trusted partners and friends. So now, as the year draws to a close is as good as time as any to say THANK YOU to our lovely clients, amazing suppliers and awesome members of Team MAXX for all the hard work, creativity and inspiration that has been mustered over the year.
So what does 2020 hold for us? There’s always an element of the unknown - which adds excitement but early in the year we are partnering with our client Furlong Solutions on their exhibition stand at BETT, the education technology fair at London’s ExCel from January 22-24. If you are planning to go, please come and say hello - we will be there providing free marketing consultancy for schools. If this is of interest, you can book a slot at the event here. As many of you know we work with several of the world’s leading independent schools so this partnership is particularly appropriate so thanks to Furlong for letting us share their space.
In 2019 our work with schools shone as on the back of a similar publication from Marlborough College, we worked with Westminster School to produce a commemorative book - a beautiful piece containing specialist photography and superb print finishing. I had the enormous pleasure of attending Westminster School’s carol service in Westminster Abbey earlier this month with Matt, our Creative Director - a lovely invitation! We have also started to work with a number of new school clients this year including Headington School, Magdalen College School, Westminster Under School and Thorpe House School.
When you read this, you may be planning or even partaking in a little Christmas tipple - if so it may be from one of our recent new clients - 137 Gin and Enborne Vineyards - we are very pleased to be helping two local specialist producers promote their delicious products - Lumbers Bartholomew Berkshire Gin and All Angels English sparkling wine. Both are available locally for your festive celebrations!
We’ve had lots of fun with new printing techniques this year producing some distinctive pieces using laser cutting and die-cutting including an invitation shaped like a bicycle for our long-standing client, leading legal firm, Boyes Turner. We are really looking forward to working on a new website with Boyes Turner next year - we were commissioned after delivering a full usability study or heuristic review for their current website. If this is something that you would be interested in us doing for you - please ask us - it’s an ideal way to fully understand how your current website is being used and how you can improve upon it.
Our digital team has been having great success using a new collaborative project management tool this year which is proving really effective when communicating with our clients during the design and development process. Two of our major web projects this year have been with Stericycle and OpenSignal; both of which have been exciting and challenging projects that the digital team has been particularly proud to work on.
We’ve also really expanded our marketing strategy and content delivery this year, including the producing of some cracking videos - here’s one of our favourites for Purley Park Trust
We normally close between Christmas and New Year and this year is no exception - but if you need to get in touch with us, you can call me on my mobile 07787 517871 or email me
So all that remains now is to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year from us all at MAXX.
