An Italian icon opens in London and Online
We are proud to share with you a brand new website that almost all of the team here at MAXX has been working on.
Smeg’s new state of the art London flagship store has its official opening today (14th September) and the team here at MAXX has been working hard on the website to get it launched in time.
If you follow MAXX on social media you are likely to have seen that we started working with Smeg at the end of 2016 and this is the first web project that we have worked on for them.
It’s a great example of a clean and minimalist design which, together with the beautifully vibrant imagery, makes this responsive website really stand out.
The website has been designed to capture the very essence of Smeg's London flagship store and to reflect the style of their design pedigree, with a contemporary feel to both the store and the new website. Smeg's core value is ‘Technology with Style’ and we have built a website that not only reflects this but helps bring their stunning range of products to life.
The team here at MAXX built this website to be as versatile as it is inspiring. The homepage combines a beautiful full screen design for maximum impact with subtle micro animations and full motion video. There's also a real emphasis on usability with an 'always visible' navigation bar, complete with mega menu that needs just a single click needed to view contact details, location, opening times and directions to the store.
There is even a custom Instagram integration that updates whenever Smeg posts a new image to Instagram. Together with a range of other features, this makes the website truly dynamic and fully updatable by the team at Smeg.
At the centre of the website is an inspiring products section which combines a simple layout with high quality photography to really demonstrate the beauty and craftsmanship of Smeg's wide range of kitchen appliances.
