Video Marketing- The power to draw in potential business

If you’re feeling like you’re neglecting something from your list of marketing activities, it’s highly likely that video marketing is the missing link! Online videos are swiftly becoming one of the most popular ways for people to search for information on services and products. With 52% of marketers worldwide naming video as the type of content with the highest ROI (Business to Community), businesses and brands across the globe are rapidly discovering that video enables them to communicate more efficiently and effectively than most other forms of content (regardless of the industry!).

Branding – what does it mean and who is on top?

What is a brand? This question seems to come up again and again whether you have or haven’t studied marketing and design. Fashion designer Alice Temperley stated:

The marketing author and consultant Professor Phillip Kotler offers a more complex definition of the subject:“You have to stay true to your heritage; that’s what your brand is about.”

Are you getting the most from your PPC campaigns?

PPC – or you may know it as ‘Pay Per Click marketing’, has been around for many years, but many businesses are still yet to use it. At MAXX we frequently find that clients are keen to know more about PPC: what it is and how it works. So, should you be using it & will it benefit your business? Hopefully this will help you decide if you are missing a trick regarding PPC.

Should you trust your Google analytics data?

Using Google Analytics to measure and track how users interact with a website has become a common way of collecting important and actionable data. It allows us to track where users are entering a site, how they navigate through it, which pages or posts they engage with most and the volume of traffic as a whole. So, it is safe to say that we rely on this monthly data in order to measure and improve what we are doing online. So just how accurate is the data that we are receiving and should we trust it?

A new chapter

There are some really exciting things happening in life right now: not only for me but also for MAXX and my new colleagues too. I think it’s the summer air - it really brings out the best in people (watch this space)!

So to introduce myself, I am Josh, I was born and raised in South Africa, which is an amazingly beautiful country, and I’m a dog person. I am naturally creative and dabble in photography however I really enjoy being social and being active. I have recently taken up golf as well; so will keep you posted on the progress of that over the summer.

Apple Pay UK Launch – Your New Mobile Wallet

Earlier this morning the UK was introduced to the Apple Pay service, much anticipated following the launch of Apple Pay in the US in October 2014. This service allows iPhone 6, 6 Plus and Apple Watch users to pay at select retailers for their purchases wirelessly, using their devices. Payments can be made up to £20 for a single transaction (much like contactless payment credit/debit cards currently).

Is augmented reality viable for your business?

Technology has advanced a great deal over the last 10 years; things that would have seemed impossible a while ago are now our reality. Most people now carry around a pocket computer (your smartphone) and 2015 is set to accelerate the wearable tech market even further. So, where does augmented reality have a place in the business technology war?

N ti n l Bl d Week

You may have seen across our social media sites yesterday that we shared an article explaining why you may seen missing A’s, O’s and B’s across the Internet. It’s National Blood Week – or if you’re tweeting: #NationalBloodWeek, and to support and raise awareness about the national blood shortage, big brands across the country are giving up the relevant letters (#missingtype).

What is the real value of design for business?

When we think of the big brands of today, certain organisations come to mind. Apple, Vodafone, Kelloggs… just to name a few off the top of my head. All of these brands have something in common: strong design - a strong brand identity that has been designed and sculpted time and time again to create something we instantly recognise. The CEO and owner of international brand, Speedo is quoted saying: ‘Design is everything. Because without it we have no business. Anybody can design a decent product – they can’t all design outstanding products.
