Resonates, finalist in National Business Awards
Resonates, MAXX’s marketing partner is a finalist in this year’s National Business Awards, sponsored by Orange. It has been successful in making the shortlist of just 10 finalists vying for the Marketing Strategy of the Year award, which includes big names like Aviva and Unilever.
The company, who partners MAXX on several client campaigns for clients such as Chesham Building Society, Jones Robinson and NHS, delivers services ranging from research and planning to PR, direct marketing and green marketing.
It has reached the finals on the strength of its workable, cost-effective plan to help its client, UPS Systems, introduce fuel cells – a cleaner, greener, smaller and quieter source of power – to new market sectors in the UK. The award will be made for a marketing campaign that has achieved high levels of commercial success. Resonates’ campaign has already generated profitable sales revenue for UPS Systems, and has helped it to become the market leader in the UK and an authority in its field.
“We’re a small consultancy, so it’s great to be in the running for such a big award and have our work recognised on a national scale,” said Chris Dace, director of Resonates. “You don’t have to hire a big-name marketing agency to achieve great business results; you just need to make sure the people in your team have the skills and experience you need to achieve your business goals.”
Tom Sperrey, managing director of UPS Systems, said, “The key to business success is in working to a thorough marketing plan and strategy. Resonates takes the time to think, to evaluate our strengths and our opportunities, and to act accordingly. And we are delighted with the results.”
Philip Forrest, chairman of judges, The National Business Awards, said, “The economic climate continues to present UK businesses with an unprecedented challenge and some sectors have suffered in its wake. It is therefore encouraging that the entries in this year’s National Business Awards have shown no drop in quality or performance. This not only reflects the resilience and optimism that are the hallmarks of UK enterprise but has served to make this one of the most competitive years so far.”
“To reach the final stage of the UK’s most important business recognition programme is an enormous achievement. It is companies like Resonates, who are bucking the economic trend and delivering excellent results that will benefit most when the upturn finally comes. It will be fascinating to see which companies walk away with the awards in November,” said Martin Lyne, director for small and medium enterprise for headline sponsor, Orange.
The winner will be announced at a gala dinner and awards ceremony at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 10 November 2009.
