Graphic design to revolutionise your business

Quality matters

UK businesses waste a staggering £79.6 billion per year correcting errors (YouGov research, British Quality Foundation, Nov 08).  This research also highlighted that workers spend up to 10% of their time correcting mistakes.

At a time of economic downturn, UK plc cannot afford the luxury of errors and yet 2 in every 5 employees believe that their company does not have a system that improves efficiency at work.

MAXX is proud that it has recently achieved a new quality standard – ISO9001/2008, it means that we have achieved the recognised standards for the processes upon which we rely to run our day-to-day business.

Although seen as tedious by many businesses, we find the systems keep us focused on our business objectives and ensure that we are following our own guidelines to maintain the high standards we have set ourselves.  On top of this, our clients may feel reassured by this “kitemark” of excellence and hopefully prospective clients will feel encouraged to give us a whirl.

Increasingly, we find that clients are asking for some formal recognition of the quality of our work.  Does this mean that quality is being raised up the agenda for many businesses and organisations?   We think this could be the case especially as we know that effective processes can impact on better customer service, (see our article and increase customer retention.  Ultimately this will have a positive effect on the balance sheet - now that’s something that none of us can afford to ignore.
