  • Learn to delegate – it’s good teamwork!
  • Plan your day and make good use of your time
  • Have a clear out – stress disappears as the muddle reduces
  • Get active! Preferably outdoors – natural light and fresh air with boost your energy levels
  • Eat well – eggs are full of stress-relieving nutrients but anything containing antioxidants (fruit and veg) will repair the damage caused by stress. Apparently the carbohydrate in a single baked potato is enough to relieve the anxiety of a stressful day!
  • Drink lots of water – people feel stressed because they don’t drink enough –but not coffee or alcohol which will actually release adrenalin and make things worse (some of us will need convincing of this one!)
  • Grab some “me time”, whether for a hot bubble bath, read a book, a soothing massage or just to sit back and take four or five deep breaths for an instant de-stress.
